PERSONNEL

The Russellville Fire Department staff consists of seven full-time and eighteen on-call volunteer fire fighters. The full-time crew, chief and 6 crew men, works a shift of 24 hrs. on/48 hrs. off duty. The full-time staff are required to have 100 hours of training each year. The remaining staff is made up of volunteers that are paid on a "Per Run Basis". The volunteers are required to obtain 20 hours of training a year.

EQUIPMENT

Currently the fire department operates with 4 Frontline Pumpers, 1 Aerial Ladder, 1 Equipment Truck, and 1 Rescue Truck. The department prides itself in having state-of-the-art rescue equipment including: 2 thermal imaging cameras with monitors, electrical and gas powered Jaws of Life that operates a combination of cutters, spreaders, and rams. Furthermore, the department operates a Cascade System that allows the staff to refill their air bottles in house.
